We did her wedding hair and makeup services in her room at the The Woodlark in downtown Portland. In the getting ready room it was just me, Abbey, her best friend, and her photographer Catalina Jean. Photos were a really important part of Abbey and Josh’s wedding (duh—that’s why they hired Catalina!), so it was was equally important to Abbey that her makeup photographed well, but still felt really light and natural. Having a quieter environment during the getting ready process made it easier for both of us to collaborate on her look step by step. For her hair, we did a clean, low bun hairstyle that would show off the back of her dress. After completing Abbey's look and makeup for her friend, I transitioned to Cooper's Hall before their first look photos. This timing allowed me to be ready for quick touch-ups when they arrived at the venue, ensuring Abbey looked flawless for both the ceremony and those all-important wedding photos she prioritized.
